Milwaukee, best known for their beer & cheese is having a good laugh this week at the expense of Los Angeles.
Los Angeles, best known for Hollywood, beaches & sunny weather is officially getting punched in the face by one of the smallest markets in the NBA.
This week the city of Milwaukee got to show up the city of Angels when the Los Angeles Clippers debuted their new branding and logo design.
Back in April, the Bucks debuted their new logo and branding designed by Brooklyn based Doubleday & Cartwright with a modern twist on a classic basketball brand.
From the font to the icons, their rebrand was impressive showing off traditions of the Bucks, with secondary and tertiary logo design’s that gave tributes to Wisconsin and Milwaukee.

Now on to the new Clippers jerseys, comparing the new design to the old is like comparing a new car with a classic retro muscle car, we agree the Clippers needed a facelift, but to eliminate the retro components of the old logo was a dangerous move. Transforming the new brand into a Michael Mann, Transformers style logo is not what Los Angeles needed or represents. The Clippers rebrand was a chance to create a new iconic brand in a legendary town in which 1st impressions are everything, we needed something classic and timeless but are left with nothing short of failed attempt.
